Finnish Immigration Service’s report on operations for 2022 has been published

Publication date 17.3.2023 9.58

In 2022, Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine affected the work of the Finnish Immigration Service in many ways. Last year, the number of people applying for asylum or temporary protection was higher than ever before. More than 47,000 Ukrainians applied for temporary protection in Finland.

The immigration of international professionals increased, and the Finnish Immigration Service continued to improve the permit processes concerning residence permits issued for work and studies.
