Finnish Immigration Service Advisory Board
The Finnish Immigration Service established its Advisory Board on 11 April 2008.
During the term 2019–2021, the Advisory Board is composed of representatives of a total of 16 interest group organisations which include both authorities and organisations. The chair of the Advisory Board is the Director-General of the Finnish Immigration Service.
Advisory Board operational objectives
The Finnish Immigration Service established its Advisory Board specifically for the purpose of promoting and developing cooperation with its own interest groups and with other collaborative groups.
The task of the Advisory Board is to review the courses of development and policies of Finnish Immigration Service operations and to put forward relevant initiatives. It also enables the Finnish Immigration Service to organise and develop its services with the help of the expertise of the Advisory Board members. The Advisory Board meets 1–4 times per year.
