You can use our e-service to apply for a residence permit for seasonal work or a certificate for seasonal work. If you submit your application in the e-service, it will be processed faster. Another advantage is that the processing fee for an online application is less expensive than the fee for a paper application.

This bulletin is updated once a week. Follow Migri.fi! We recommend that you do not ask after the status of your application by phone because our customer service does not have more accurate information than this customer bulletin.

Applications for seasonal work permits are always considered urgent

The Finnish Immigration Service processes and decides all applications for seasonal work permits as urgent without any separate requests.

Applications are decided in the order they are submitted. E-mailing or calling the Finnish Immigration Service will not speed up the processing of your application. We will contact the applicant or the employer if we need any additional information for the application.

The processing of your application will take considerably longer if the application is incomplete and we have to ask for additional information.
