The postal strike that took place in Finland has ended, but additional documents posted during the strike may still be arriving late to the Finnish Immigration Service. We will take the effects of the postal strike into account when we process applications and documents.
If we have posted a request for additional information to you just before or during the strike, we will wait for your documents until the end of the year.
If you applied in Enter Finland, submit your additional documents online
If you have applied for a residence permit or citizenship in the online service Enter Finland, the best option is to use Enter Finland to submit the requested documents to the Finnish Immigration Service. This way, your documents will reach us immediately.
