Queue of applications for seasonal work permits and certificates

Publication date 6.3.2020 8.36
Press release

If you are coming to Finland for seasonal work, you must get a specific permit for it.

Seasonal work refers to work in agriculture or tourism, for example, that is done at certain times of the year. The maximum length of seasonal work is nine months.

We will publish weekly updates about the processing queue. Follow Migri.fi! We recommend that you do not ask after the status of your application by phone because our customer service does not have any further information than what you can find in this customer bulletin.

You can apply for a residence permit for seasonal work or for a certificate for seasonal work online in Enter Finland. Submitting an online application enables a faster processing of your matter.

Applications for seasonal work permits and certificates are always considered urgent. Due to the large number of applicants, separate requests to expedite cannot be taken into account.

Applications are decided in the order they have been submitted, and we try to take the start date of the job into account.
