Extended service hours for telephone service and chat from 5 November

The customer service hours for the Finnish Immigration Service will be extended. If you do not find the information you need on our website, you can contact our cus-tomer service by calling us or asking questions online in our chat.

  • Telephone service on weekdays from 9 to 16
  • Chatbot on every day of the week, 24 hours a day

Chatbot Kamu will direct you to discuss with a real person if necessary

Kamu Chatbot is an artificially intelligent robot. Kamu answers questions on our website every day around the clock. Kamu gives answers to the most common questions in Finnish and English. On weekdays from 9 to 16, Kamu will also direct you to a live chat with a real person if necessary. In the live chat, a customer service person will help you with questions that Kamu cannot yet answer.

You can also call our subject-specific service numbers

You will find answers to most questions on our website, Migri.fi. You can for instance find the right application with the Application Finder or calculate the processing time of your application with the Processing Time Checker. The customer service number of the Finnish Immigration Service gives advice on weekdays from 9 to 16 on the following matters:

  • residence permits
  • EU registration
  • alien’s passports
  • citizenship matters.

In addition to the general customer service number, you can call our subject-specific service numbers on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 11.
