Helsinki service point is moving to Malmi and will be closed from 22 March until 5 April 2021

On 6 April 2021, Helsinki service point will start operating in new premises at the address Kaupparaitti 10, 00700 Helsinki. While the service point is moving, you will not be able to visit it by appointment or use the queue number service between 22 March and 5 April 2021.

You will find Malmi service point in the Finnish Immigration Service’s appointment system under Helsinki: Malmi service point. For opening times of Helsinki service point, visit migri.fi/service-points.  

The new office has good public transport connections

The new office is easy to reach by train or bus. For drivers, we have free parking places (parking for a limited time) on Viljatie road and in the multi-storey car parks of Malmintori shopping centre, among other things. There is no on-site customer parking at the service point. See the location of the new office on the map

If you live in the Helsinki region and your permit or travel document expires between 22 March and 5 April 2021,

you can submit your application 

  • by filing it on our online service at enterfinland.fi
  • by sending an e-mail to hakemukset(at)migri.fi. You will receive detailed instructions as a response to your e-mail. 

Are you applying for an extended permit? Some applicants need not visit a service point 

If you are applying for an extended permit and you use online identification, in some cases you do not need to visit a service point. 

You can use strong electronic identification on Enter Finland with online banking credentials, a citizen certificate or a mobile certificate.  The service will let you know if you need to visit a service point or not. Read more at migri.fi/identification.
