Service points of the Finnish Immigration Service
Book an appointment in advance online.
Please make sure that you bring all the necessary documents with you to the service point. Please read the instructions on the page ‘Handling matters at a service point’.
Queuing with a waiting number is possible during the opening hours of the service points, with the exception of the service point Rovaniemi. You can check the opening hours for the service points under their contact information.
The service points may stop handing out waiting numbers earlier, if the queue becomes too long to handle under the opening hours.
Our service points are not open on official holidays.

Helsinki
Our service point in Helsinki is closed on Wednesday 29 May.

Open: Monday–Friday 8–16.15.
Last Thursday of each month at 10–16.15.
On 6 April 2021, Helsinki service point will start operating on new premises at the address Kaupparaitti 10, 00700 Helsinki. While the service point is moving, you will not be able to visit it by appointment or use the queue number service between 22 March and 5 April 2021.

The Åland Islands

Open: We do not have a permanent service point on the Åland Islands. An official will be available to receive customers every six to seven weeks at the State Administration Building.
If you are applying for the right of residence under the withdrawal agreement, book a normal appointment. You cannot yet book a Brexit appointment in Mariehamn. The first Brexit appointments can be booked from 20 January 2021 onwards.

If you live on the Åland Islands, you can use a service point on the continent or book an appointment in Mariehamn with a public official from the Finnish Immigration Service. You have to book an appointment in advance to visit us in Mariehamn.
International House Helsinki
You can take care of your EU registration at IHH. For other matters, please contact a service point of the Finnish Immigration Service.
You can schedule an appointment for EU registration at the IHH service point using the booking system of the Finnish Immigration Service.
IHH offers new immigrants services and information from various public administration actors – all in one place. The service is intended for immigrants who have recently moved to the Helsinki metropolitan area, as well as companies and employers who have questions related to foreign labour and recruiting.
