Collecting your residence permit card or residence card in Finland? Follow the instructions on your notice of arrival

Your card will be sent to a collection point near you within 2 weeks of the date on which the decision was made.
- You will receive a notice of arrival by email and text message when you can collect your residence permit card.
- The message tells you which collection point you need to visit to collect the card.
- You need to collect your card from the collection point stated in the notice of arrival.
What do you need to bring with you?
- Bring with you the notice of arrival that you have received by email and text message.
If you have received a notice of arrival before 9 January 2025, you need to state your customer number to collect the card
Follow the instructions on the notice of arrival.
To collect your card from the collection point, take with you:
- the notice of arrival that you have received by text massage and email, which includes your tracking code, and
- your PIN code, which is your customer number at the Finnish Immigration Service. Your PIN code is printed on your certificate of a pending application, which you have received from the Finnish Immigration Service, and on your old residence permit card.
- If you used Enter Finland to apply for a permit or a card, you will find your certificate of a pending application in Enter Finland. Take a screenshot of the certificate or print it before you visit the collection point.
- If you submitted a paper application, you received a certificate of a pending application when you visited the service point of the Finnish Immigration Service.
- If you are collecting someone else’s card, you do not need a power of attorney. You need to bring with you the notice of arrival and state the customer number of the person whose card you are collecting.
