The decisions of the Finnish Immigration Service may be appealed to an administrative court. As of 1 January 2016, the processing of appeals in administrative courts will be subject to a fee. The processing fee will be 250 euros.
The processing of asylum matters will not be subject to a fee. Also persons who have been granted legal aid and persons of limited means do not need to pay the processing fee.
According to the act on court fees, also the processing of matters other than those concerning foreign nationals will, as a rule, be subject to a fee in courts of law.
