New animated film shows how to obtain decisions faster
The Finnish Immigration Service has produced an animated film for its customers. The film aims to explain why processing residence permit applications takes time, and how the customer can best contribute to quick decision-making.
We also wish to introduce our customers, who arrive from all over the world, to how Finnish authorities operate. For example, many foreigners find it difficult to understand that they do not need specifically to monitor the progress of their application and that constant queries may, in fact, slow down the decision-making process.
The animated film is built around an example situation that contains several frequently asked customer service questions concerning the processing time of applications. The main characters of the story are called Marco and Anna. Marco, who lives abroad, is applying for his first Finnish residence permit. He gets advice from his friend Anna, who is also a foreigner but has already been living in Finland for several years.
The animation is in Finnish, Swedish and English, and is available on the Finnish Immigration Service website.
