Kamu the chatbot, which has been available on the Migri.fi website and in Enter Finland, can no longer be used after 31 October 2024. The chatbot service has been important to many of our customers and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused by the fact that Kamu will no longer be available for use.

Kamu the chatbot is a virtual customer servant that utilises artificial intelligence. Taking into account the development of artificial intelligence and the feedback we have received, we have concluded that the present version of Kamu cannot offer sufficient services to meet the needs of our customers. That is why we have decided to discontinue the chatbot service. We are currently looking at other options to improve our online guidance.

Kamu was introduced in 2018. Since then, Kamu has most often received questions about the processing time and stage for applications. Kamu has replied by giving an estimated processing time that has also been available on the Migri.fi website. Previously, Kamu could specify the position of a particular application in a queue of similar applications by its diary number. This function has not been available since May 2024.

This is how you can find information and follow the processing of your application without Kamu

As November approaches, Kamu will more often refer to the website Migri.fi in its replies to make the website more familiar and to make it easier to look for information on the site. We recommend using the search function to look for information on our website.

Instead of Kamu, you can use our Processing Time Checker to find out the estimated processing time for your application. The Processing Time Checker will give you the same information that Kamu would give.

It is easy to follow the processing of your application if you have included your email address in your application. In that case, you will receive a message when the processing status of your application changes. For more information, see the page Automated messages.
