Press release

Permit matters for foreign nationals were transferred from the police to the Finnish Immigration Service on 1 January 2017. If you are applying for a residence permit, citizenship, a travel document or EU registration, you should submit your application or prove your identity at one of the service points of the Finnish Immigration Service.

A public official from the Finnish Immigration Service will for the first time visit Mariehamn in February 2017 to accept application. You can now book an appointment to handle your matter with the public official in our appointment system.

The public official will in general visit Mariehamn once in every one and a half month. If you cannot find available appointment times for Mariehamn in the appointment system, please check again later.

Please remember that you can handle your matter whenever on the mainland at one of the service points of the Finnish Immigration Service. The nearest service point is in Raisio in the Turku region. Even then book an appointment beforehand online in our appointment system.

Fill in your application and get all the necessary attachments before the appointment.
