On 29 August 2023, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland published a press release announcing that customers in Russia must handle all residence permit matters in Moscow as of 1 September 2023.
Finland’s Consulate General in St Petersburg will be closed as of 1 October 2023. If you live in Russia and apply for a residence permit to Finland, you will need to handle your application with Finland’s Embassy in Moscow.
