The Finnish Immigration Service has awoken interest in SuomiAreena
The stand of the Finnish Immigration Service at the SuomiAreena event in Pori has become popular already during the first day. The public has even queued up for our quiz. Many of the visitors have already in advance known quite a lot about the work of the Finnish Immigration Service.
During the first day, our experts have answered e.g. how a former Finnish citizen can get his or her citizenship back and how one can get a working place or traineeship period at the Finnish Immigration Service.
The SuomiAreena event will continue in Pori on Thursday and Friday 19–20 July. The stand of the Finnish Immigration Service is located at the Kansalaistori, the ‘Civic Marketplace’. At 11.45 pm on Friday 20 July, Director Tiina Suominen will hold an info session on obtaining Finnish citizenship.
Alongside the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, the Ministry of the Interior is a key partner of the Pori SuomiAreena 2012 event. SuomiAreena is organised by MTV3 and the City of Pori.
