The members of the Finnish Post and Logistics Union ended their strike on 30 November. The backlogs caused by the strike still delay mail and parcel delivery in Finland. However, Posti estimates that 90 to 95 per cent of the mail will be delivered normally in the whole of Finland later in the week.
The Finnish Immigration Service is flexible when it comes to additional documents that arrive late due to the postal strike. If you receive a request for additional documents after the strike and cannot reply to the request within the given time limit, you can call our service number and ask for extra time to submit the documents. You can find our subject-specific service numbers on this page.
