Changes to e-services will take effect soon – pending matters will be transferred to the new service
The renewal of the e-services of the Finnish Immigration Service will be completed soon. Any pending matters you have initiated using the current e-services will be automatically transferred to the new service.
Old decisions and drafts will not be transferred
The information to be transferred from your e-services account to the new service will include your personal details and pending matters. Old decisions and saved draft applications will not be transferred to the new service.
If you do not have any draft applications saved in the current e-service, and the processing of your application is either underway or completed, no action is required on your part.
If you have saved a draft version of an application in the current e-service, you must complete the form and submit it by 14 June 2015. If you do not complete the application, the draft version will be lost. However, you can use the new e-service to create a new application from the beginning.
The login process will not change
Because your customer account will be transferred to the new service, you do not need to create a new account. You can log into the new service using your existing user ID and password, or strong authentication. When you log into the new service for the first time, the service will ask you to accept the new terms of use.
A series of articles illustrate the changes to the e-services
We have published a series of articles which provide more details on all of the changes made to the e-service and introduce the people responsible for developing it.
