The Oulu office of the Finnish Immigration Service moves to the centre of Oulu
The Oulu office will move to the new courthouse. The address of the customers’ entrance is Albertinkatu 4, 90100 Oulu.
Due to the move, asylum interviews and the customer service of the service point will be relocated to new facilities.
The service point is closed from 28 November to 2 December 2022 due to the relocation
From 5 December, the customer service of the new Oulu service point will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The service point will be closed on Thursdays. Check the opening hours for queuing for services with a waiting number instead of booking an appointment on the Service Points page.
- When booking an appointment for the new Oulu office, please select the name ‘Oulu service point’ in our reservation system. The current service point that will be closed can be found in the reservation system under the name ‘Oulu service point, Tutkijankuja’.
- If you have booked an appointment to the Tutkijankuja service point after 28 November, the appointment will be moved to the new service point. The Finnish Immigration Service will send you a message with more information.
At the service point, you can, for example:
- submit an application for a residence permit, EU registration, citizenship or passport
- authenticate your identity.
If you are living in the Oulu region and your permit or travel document will expire between 26 November and 4 December 2022,
you can submit your new application
- in our Enter Finland online service or
- by sending an e-mail to hakemukset(a)migri.fi. We will send you instructions in a reply message.
Asylum interviews and notifications of asylum decisions
Asylum interviews and notifications will be organised in the new facilities from 12 December 2022.
Check the address in the invitation to the asylum interview or the notification event.
Great public transport connections to the new office
The new office is about a 20-minute walk from the Oulu railway station.
The nearest bus stop is the ‘Virastotalo’ stop, located about 70 metres from the office. For more information on bus routes and timetables in Oulu, please visit oulunjoukkoliikenne.fi
There are parking halls and street parking in the area as well.
