Press release

The new customer service number 0295 419 601 answers calls from employers on weekdays from 8.30 to 12. You can call the number to ask about such issues as residence permits for employed persons, filling out applications and the right to work.

If the line is busy, you can leave a request to call back. We will call you back in the afternoon the same day or the next weekday following your call.

Asking about the right to work

If you are not certain whether your employee has a right to work or not, in most cases you can call the service number to check the matter.

If your employee is an asylum seeker, we cannot give information about his or her right to work on telephone. For more information on an asylum seeker's right to work see migri.fi/asylum-seeker-s-right-to-work The Kamu chatbot will also advise you on how to check an employee's right to work.

You can affect how the telephone service works

The telephone service for employers is a trial lasting a year aimed at improving the advice and guidance given to employers. The service responds to our customers and partners’ wishes.

We will continuously develop the service based on the feedback we receive. You can give feedback on how the telephone service works in connection with your phone call or by using the feedback form.

At the end of the trial, we will decide whether we continue the operation of the telephone service or not.

Enter Finland for employers and Kamu chatbot also at your service

In the Enter Finland for employers online service, you can speed up the processing of testimonials for seasonal workers or residence permits. When you provide supplementary data to an employee's application, it will shorten the processing time of the application, and your employee will get the decision sooner. The Kamu chatbot helps your employee to follow the processing of his or her residence permit. Kamu tells your employee where his or her application stands in the process for applications waiting for a decision. Read more on the website migri.fi/chat1.
