Coming in October: a webinar on the employment services for foreign victims of human trafficking residing in Finland

The Finnish Immigration Service’s Assistance system for victims of human trafficking will organise the webinar on 12 October 2021 focusing on the employment services for foreign victims of human trafficking residing in Finland.

The Assistance system will organise the webinar in cooperation with the European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control HEUNI and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. 

Discussion on the structures and practices of the employment services from the human trafficking perspective

In the webinar, the Assistance system for victims of human trafficking and HEUNI will also publish a report on the availability of working life services and long-term support for victims of human trafficking residing in Finland.

The webinar topics include:

  • the accessibility and matching of employment services for persons in a vulnerable position
  • job opportunities for persons in a vulnerable position 
  • existing best practices 
  • identified development areas 

An expert panel will be discussing how the situation of victims of human trafficking could be improved in practice.

The webinar will be held on Tuesday, 12 October 2021, 9.00–11.00 a.m. Please, make sure you register by 6 October

The webinar is open to all. It will be particularly useful for experts involved in employment services, such as TE administration and local employment service employees, integration specialists and social services professionals.

The webinar is part of the IKUT project of the Assistance system for victims of human trafficking; the project focuses on developing the working life skills of victims of human trafficking. IKUT project is supported by the European Social Fund (ESF).
