The application period for the post of Deputy Director of the Finnish Immigration Service ended on Tuesday 8 December 2015. A total of 32 applicants had applied for the post by the application deadline.

The Deputy Director will be appointed by the end of the year
The Deputy Director will deputise directly for Director General Jaana Vuorio. Among other responsibilities, the Deputy Director will be in charge of the agency’s operational and financial planning, lead preparedness planning and coordinate national and international cooperation.
The appointment is proceeding at a rapid pace, since it is intended that the Deputy Director will begin his or her three-year, fixed-term public-service relationship on 1 January 2016.
