At the beginning of 2012, the Finnish Immigration Service and the police launched eServices covering permits for foreigners. To begin with, these services are only available to students applying for their first residence permit.
In the FAQ section, you will find answers to frequently asked questions on our eServices. For example, from there you can find out how to register with the service and where to get help in problem situations.
We are gradually extending our electronic services
We are adding other residence permit forms and citizenship application forms to the service in stages. In the future, it will also be possible to apply for permit extensions electronically. Other additions to the service will include registration of EU citizens’ right of residence, and applications for residence cards for family members of EU citizens.
